We are standing on the platform and this train is ready to roll. CAPR is poised to ramp up to the next level, but we all need to pitch in to keep the momentum going!
Recently, with the successful defense of Arthur Thomas via a Tales of Tyranny video, and the addition of new chapters along with the reinvigoration of established chapters, we are ready to roll! Our executive director, Glen Morgan has been driving all across the state visiting new and established chapters, and creating Tales of Tyranny(TOT) videos to spread the word of what people are facing with an over-reaching government.
The most recent TOT video featured a Bellingham businessman, Arthur Thomas, who had an employee wash his van in the company parking lot. The state department of ecology pressured the Bellingham prosecuting attorney to go after Mr. Thomas, but Glen made a TOT video on the subject, posted it online, and generated enough negative feedback that the City of Bellingham dropped the case! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkY1mGLh4CA
Read about the resounding defeat of the "Turd Tax" in King County:http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=5309861&msgid=359771&act=KFBK&c=1253616&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fproprights.org%2Fblog%2Fking-county-dumps-%25E2%2580%259Cturd-tax%25E2%2580%259D-after-overwhelming-rejection-angry-citizens
Our stunning victory over the Seattle/King County Board of Health and the attempt to tax private septic systems and even worse, impose easements for county inspectors to enter your property, was a watershed win! It was the combined efforts of a few elected officials,
COOMWA, https://www.coomwa.org/ (visit this site as it grows providing important links to research and news of the fight!)
and well over a thousand irate citizens that made the win possible! The battle is won, but not the war, and while the victory is an important win, this is not over yet! The enemy has withdrawn and circled their wagons, injured, but not yet defeated. The foundation for their plan is still intact, WAC 246-272A and RCW 70.05.060 and RCW 70.05.190 leave the situation precarious for landowners as the BOH can still implement their plans at any time.
CAPR with the help of COOMWA will fight to change these laws and restrict the authority of the Health Department to initiate rules like these that follow an unconstitutional regulatory path! We need citizens and landowners to back us up in this fight for the long run, just as they did so stunningly in the public comment meetings!
The work of CAPR through our executive director and lobbyist efforts requires funding! Glen Morgan's car has crossed the state so many times it died! But there is hope!!! A CAPR supporter has offered to provide a quality car for CAPR to use for Glen to conduct business if CAPR donors are willing to contribute some of the cost!
If everyone donated $55.00, divided between the PAC http://proprights.org/donate/pacand the Tax Deductible Legal Fund, http://proprights.org/donate/legal-fund we can send this train rolling down the tracks!
The PAC funds the CAPR lobbying efforts in Olympia, the most powerful way to protect and restore our property rights! CAPR is the ONLY organization with the ONLY lobbyist in Olympia dedicated stricltly to protecting property rights, and we are being heard, making a difference in lawmakers minds!!! CAPR is influencing bills and came very close to passing eminent domain reform this year with a win in the Senate! Sadly the majority in the house held the bill up and we did not get it passed through the entire legislative body. We will try again next session and hope for a better result in the house. Perhaps the elections will bring in more legislators who care about the rule of law and property rights! Vote property rights!
If Everybody donates at least $25.00 to the CAPR PAC, and $30.00 to the CAPR Legal Fund, with $5.00 dedicated to the CAPR Car, we can keep this going. Of course, if you can afford more, please reach deeply into your pockets and give generously, if you can afford $100 our position becomes that much more powerful, $200. and we will be stronger still!!!
The Property Rights you save just might be your own; and your children's and grandchildren's and so on down the generations, we know this is why many CAPR members and supporters work so hard to help!
We thank you!!!
