Save Our Agricultural Lands! Protect Our Property Rights!

Critically Important Meeting Announcement: Save our Ag Lands! Protect Property Rights! There will be a meeting in Skagit County at 7 pm on Monday, October 27, 2014. The meeting will be hosted by the Skagit County Farm Bureau at their regular meeting location, 1833 Park Lane in Burlington, at 7 pm on Monday, October 27, 2014. The Snohomish County Farm Bureau, the Skagit County Farm Bureau, and the Skagit County Cattlemen’s Association wish to invite you and other associations with an interest in agriculture and property rights to a meeting for the purpose of organizing opposition to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's latest aggression against agriculture in Washington state: The “Puget Sound Nearshore Ecosystem Restoration Project” (PSNERP), a $1.5B plan to destroy 5,000 acres of agricultural land distributed over 11 sites in 6 counties (King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan) on Puget Sound. The WDFW press release announcing PSNERP is in the thread below. http://wdfw.wa.gov/news/oct1014c/ Driving directions are simple: Take the Cook Road exit on I-5 just north of Burlington, go east, turn south onto Old 99, then left onto North Hill Blvd, go 0.2 mile, then turn right onto Park Lane and go to 1833. We plan to have a tight agenda and keep this initial meeting short. Please attend. We need to organize to oppose this attack on agriculture.
