Negative Impacts to Washington State Revenue from Enacting an Income Tax

12/4/2025

By Cindy Alia

The idea of an unconstitutional income tax on Washington's citizens is especially daunting when viewed from to lens of those already over taxed and over burdened.  We all want to keep more of the money we earn, but taxation especially stings and hits hard when it is collected then wasted by poor oversight, lack of meaningful auditing, and self serving programs.  People are aware of these faults and at some point will vote with their feet, increased taxation feeds this behavior.

Who Owns AMERICA?  Identifying Threats to Private Property

July 15, 2025 by Steve Busch

The fundamental right of the average citizen to own property is under siege. Threats to private ownership include a net reduction in the amount of property available due to government land acquisitions, increasing foreign ownership of both residential and agricultural land, plus onerous government taxes and regulations.

Washington’s APA and a Hypothetical Ban on Gender-Affirming Care for Minors: Legal Ramifications

By Cindy Alia 6/20/25

The call for administrative law reform:

Washington State Statutes Reveal the Need for Administrative Law Reform in a hypothetical situation of a Ban on Gender Affirming Care as Determined in the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in United States v. Skrmetti, as well as in Current Statute in Washington State which Allow for Gender Affirming Care.

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in United States v. Skrmetti (June 18, 2025) upheld Tennessee’s Senate Bill 1, which bans puberty blockers and hormone therapy for minors to treat gender dysphoria, while allowing these treatments for other medical conditions. Tennessee defended the law as protecting minors from unproven treatments with risks like fertility loss.

Covenant Homeownership Program Egalitarian Robin Hood Hoax

4/24/25 by Cindy Alia

With the passage into law, and Ferguson's signature, HB 1858 along with HB 1696 has created a costly special interests program with yet to be proven results.  Never let a good idea go to waste takes on new overtones.  The Covenant Homeownership Program has not yet yielded results, but has taken a lot of revenue from the pockets of Washingtonians.

Property Tax Still a Danger, Sneaky Taxation on Groceries!

By Cindy Alia 4/21/25

Rumor has it excessive property tax increases bills are off the table, according to the Washington State Standard.  Color me skeptical, but I see there is one property tax increase bill waiting a turn on the Senate Floor Calendar, as of this writing the afternoon of April 21st, SB 5798 quietly rests on a floor calendar which currently holds 13 bills.  I won't rest till these folks in the legislature all go home to plan how to pick one's pocket in future sessions.  Til then I do not trust the notion that bills are off the table.
